MCAlagaesia Network

It's finally here! MCAlagaesia has updated to Minecraft 1.13.

You should now use the latest Minecraft 1.13 client to join.

If you encounter any bugs or experience any issues, please let us know by posting a thread in the Technical Support Forum.

As you all know by now, 1.13 has been released and a lot of you are probably wondering when MCAlagaesia will see this new update. While we're busy with some other upcoming things (new dedicated server!) we will also be working hard on getting 1.13 ready.

We are aware 1.13 is out and we are working hard to update as soon as possible, however, there are a few things that can delay us that are out of our control. I can't provide a valid ETA of when we are going to update, but at a minimum it will be a month.

To keep you all in the loop, here is our checklist for 1.13.

As you can see we have a lot of work to do so I appreciate your patience and cooperation. We will continue to update this post as we go.

We believe that the new dedicated server will be ready for production long before 1.13 is ready, so we may move the network over to the new server at this time. We've already moved to the new dedicated server.

Hellomynameis99 Project Lead The new client 1.13.1 released by Mojang still has Vanilla world conversion issues concerning chests on chunk boundaries...

The time has rolled around for the October wrap-up newsletter, and I realised it seems I've been so busy that I forgot to make a news post for September as well! But never fear, we'll cover 2 months this time!

Over the last 2 months, the team placed 67,055 blocks and destroyed 32,704 blocks and spent a combined spent a combined 240 hours online - a statistic for which I apologise, because I spent a lot of time AFKing on the server (again).

Builder of the month(s) of goes to fredo747, placing 25,329 blocks over the two-month period.

Terraformer of the month goes to Thalon for further work on terraforming Aroughs.

Awesome work everyone!

Staff Changes

We're sad to say goodbye to ArcWraith once again. Thanks for your help!

If you want to help us finish the project, don't forget to jump on the public build server and submit your application plot!

If you're interested, here's how many blocks each builder has placed since records began.

After a four-day-long cryptic countdown, Christopher Paolini announced something big (and an hour too soon!)

For the first time in 7 years, we return to the magic land of Alagaesia with three all-new original stories!

These 288 pages will transport us back to the land of spells, magic, and dragons. Back to the world of Alagaësia.

It's been a year since Eragon departed Alagaësia in search of the perfect home to train a new generation of Dragon Riders. Now he is struggling with an endless sea of tasks: constructing a vast dragonhold, wrangling with suppliers, guarding dragon eggs, and dealing with belligerent Urgals and haughty elves. Then a vision from the Eldunarí, unexpected visitors, and an exciting Urgal legend offer a much-needed distraction and a new perspective.

This volume features three original stories set in Alagaësia, interspersed with scenes from Eragon's own unfolding adventure. Included is an excerpt from the memoir of the unforgettable witch and fortune-teller Angela the herbalist . . . penned by Angela Paolini, the inspiration for the character, herself!

Relish the incomparable imagination of Christopher Paolini in this thrilling new collection of stories based in the world of the Inheritance Cycle. Includes four new pieces of original art by the author.

So we know there's going to be more Alagaesia, more Eragon, more Saphira, and maybe even more Angela! We left Alagaesia 7 years ago - who would you like to catch up with? What stories would you like to read?

There's already a new channel on our Discord server where we're discussing this, and more! Come speculate and share your excitement with us at

Edit: Now that the announcement is official, the article on is now live! For more, visit

Announced Too Soon?

As you know, we were running a countdown on the MCAlagaesia Discord server, and many of you were surprised when we gave you the news almost an hour early!!

Almost 200 people retweeted Paolini's announcement before it was taken down on both his personal and the PaoliniOfficial accounts.

However, the original tweets have been deleted. But never fear! We have them immortalised here for posterity.

Of course, they should be back up soon!

More Short Stories?

We've only just learned that we will be enjoying 3 new short stories this year - but could there be even more in the works?

I'm sure the astute among you will have seen the words "VOLUME 1: ERAGON" on the bottom of the book. Surely this means we can expect even more stories based around our other favourite characters in the near future!

Breaking the Internet

Mere seconds after the announcement, hundreds of thousands of dedicated Inheritance Cycle fans poured in to the official Inheritance Cycle fansite, to find out as much as they could. Not all of them could get in though - it seems the magnitude of the news surprised everyone, and nobody was prepared for the massive spike in web traffic!

We're hoping the DDoS mitigation provider Cloudflare can get the site back online soon so that readers can find out everything we know about the new book. For the latest news, check out!
